Graveyard Cleaning

Malshapara, the oldest municipal cemetery in Sirajganj, Bangladesh is being cleaned on a voluntary basis. 40 volunteers, 24 wage workers and 10 officers and employees of Dr. Fazlur Rahman Foundation were involved in this clean-up work and planted flower seedlings next to the cemetery. It was organized and supported by Dr. Fazlur Rahman Foundation-Dr. FRF, Education Development Program- EDP and Sirajganj Municipality.
On Saturday (February 17) from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, volunteer youths, laborers and officials took part in cleaning the huge cemetery by bringing shovels, scissors, shovels, axes, and spades. Through this activity, 400 planted flower seedlings ০7 trucks of garbage were removed from the location in ০1 day.

Syed Abdur Rauf Mukta, the mayor of Sirajganj municipality, inaugurated the cleaning work and was present as the chief guest. He said, after death, every Muslim is buried in the cemetery and our last destination is the cemetery, so I am doing bright and clean work for the development of the cemetery. We are working on the development of four cemeteries of the municipality. It gives us peace of mind. Thank you to all who were involved in this good work. Meanwhile, EDP and Dr. Other officers and employees of Fazlur Rahman Foundation work. Encouraged by our work, Mr. Mayor announced to take up a project costing 50,000,000 BDT for the beautification and development of this cemetery within the next two months.
