Project & Program

2nd Free Eye Care Camp for Disable
On April-9, 2024 “Beef and Cash Distribution Event for Edul-Fitr” was organized for the poor at Char Mirpur and Char Raipur areas in Sirajganj, Bangladesh. A one kg of beef and BDT 500 cash is distributed among 200 families to celebrate the following Eid festival. In Bangladesh the wages of a day laborer is BDT 400-600 a day and the price of a kg of beef is 750 kg and almost every poor family is in debt to fulfill their basic demands such staple food, cloth etc. So they cannot even think of having protein like fish and meat. To buy beef is a luxurious dream for the poor for their daily basic expenses. So Dr. Fazlur Rahman Foundation in association with EDP has taken up the program of distributing meat among the poor during various festivals. We hope and believe our scope of this type of charity activities will be gradually broadened in support and co-operation of others.

Relief Distribution:

We provide various assistance to those who are suffering from financial hardships due to disasters, epidemics and various social disasters. For example, we distribute blankets in winter, food during idle time, relief items, health items and educational materials to students from poor families. Currently, the poor and middle class families are suffering from extreme food shortages due to the massive increase in the price of food products in Bangladesh. We are trying to help them as much as possible. Currently middle class families are most in danger because they never tell people about their problems. In that case, if we find out, we help them secretly.

Social Awarness

We hold awareness meetings in rural and slum areas for less educated and ignorant men and women on issues like stopping child marriage, prevention of violence against women and children, polygamy, importance of planting trees and keeping the environment clean, drug prevention, safe water, and sending children to school. .

Free technical training for poor unemployed

Most of the children of our poor families cannot continue their studies due to financial constraints. Again they don't get any good job because they don't know any job. As a result they cannot get out of poverty. So we are providing various skill development training for free. We are currently providing training for girls like Beautification, Dressmaking, Block-Batik. Providing mobile servicing for boys, Driving and Computer and Freelancing training for both boys and girls.
